What is GBNL?

The Greater Brisbane Netball League (GBNL) was formed in 2021 to replace the Queensland Premier League (QPL) zone 6 competition. It takes place at Nissan Arena on a Thursday (Opens, U23 and U18 Div 1) and Friday (U16s and U18 Div 2).

When are trials?

Trials for our GBNL Teams are in October. Trials for the 2024 are being scheduled. Watch this space…

What are the age groups at GBNL?

For 2023, the age groups were U16, U18, U23 and Opens. We aim to have two teams in each age group.

Players who are turning 15 and 16 can trial for U16.

What is the commitment to a GBNL team?

Players selected in the 2024 GBNL Teams will attend a gym session, a court session and compete on Thursday or Friday nights at Nissan Arena.

In 2023, the gym session was on Monday night for the U16 and U18s and the court session on Tuesday night. Opens and U23s trained on Monday and were responsible for their own strength and fitness. TBC for 2024.

When does GBNL start?

Pre Season starts in March.

GBNL competition starts in May until September.
